Field Service Technician (Punch)

(95% travel) 
West: Northwest & Mid-South 

East: Northeast, Southeast, & Ohio Valley

Pay:

$28–$34/hr depending on experience + travel expenses and $90 per diem

As a Field Service Technician, you’ll play a vital role on our technical support team, providing on-site, phone, and email support to customers across the U.S. You’ll install, maintain, and repair high-tech machinery and software systems, ensuring our customers receive world-class service and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex technical issues and perform on-site repairs 

• Dismantle and rebuild machines both mechanically and electrically 

• Perform software updates on HMI and PLC systems 

• Interpret schematics and block diagrams to troubleshoot issues 

• Document product problems and resolutions in detail 

What You Bring

• Skilled in electrical measurement and inspection tools (e.g., voltmeter, oscilloscope) 

• Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems 

• Ability to read schematics and diagnose software issues 

• Familiarity with Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office 

• Proficient with AC/DC circuits, sensors, relays, timers, and fusing 

• Experience with mechanical systems (ball screws, bearings, gearing, way systems) 

• 3+ years of experience with PLCs and mechanical troubleshooting 

• Valid driver’s license 

• Willingness to travel 95% of the time

Preferred

• 2–5 years of experience in the machine tool industry 

• CNC programming skills 

• High school diploma or equivalent
